Hamilton Island is located off the coast of Queensland surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef. A holiday island destination for everyone from families to couples and the rich and famous. The island has something for everyone.

During my time running Vanilla Spin, we completed an array of marketing materials for Hamilton Island and their service offerings from the Island advertising materials including the ‘Where in the World’ campaign, through to event invitations, publications, signage and launch materials for their newly built Hamilton Island Yacht Club & Hamilton Island Golf Club. With a great simple yet strong brand to work with and amazing imagery, we were able to capture the essence of the location and what to expect when you get there.

Val Morgan hold their Showcase events on an annual basis Australia wide. These events are aimed at local businesses & promote advertising on the big screen at a reduced rate.

Each year we refresh the brand style & align it closely to the over-arching Val Morgan brand & style. This year all items were updated including the logo, contracts, lanyards, powerpoint presentations, movie tickets & website. The website featured the ability to register online to a maximum number with the ability to check the registrants in on arrival.

Val Morgan Cinema Network provides cinema advertising across Australia and New Zealand with over 2,000 cinema screens across metro, regional and country areas.

Working in-house at Val Morgan I was initially acquired to streamline their B2B materials which had no consistency across the market. Working closely with the Marketing Manager I created a new direction & brand outline for the company which evolved over the years I was there to include a new logo, new sub branding, marketing materials and online artwork.

I also worked closely with a variety of departments to include event work, regular campaigns to both clients and consumers and presentations for the various sales teams.

The Discovery Network shows an array of documentaries under their 6 channels; The Discovery Channel, Turbo Max, Home & Health, Discovery Science, Animal Planet & TLC.

I had the pleasure of creating an array of materials for the Discovery Network to promote their upcoming documentaries and events. With a brand existing for all channels, the challenge was getting them all to work together!

Ti Tree Spirit Herbals are an Australian owned and based company offering natural herbal products based on traditional Australian bush medicine.

The logo was created based on the original ‘Spirit Lady’ artwork by Aboriginal artist Mandy Davis of Forster, NSW. Elements of the logo are taken from the artwork which encompasses the meaning & drive behind the company & it’s directors. By using this gorgeous artwork & the amazing colours, we created a unique brand which was carried through stationery, packaging, advertising & online.

One P Design is a new player on the fashion field. They have a unique approach to their business whereby their aim is to provide women with the fashion tools they need to look fabulous every day whilst saving them time. By reducing decisions in your day and providing a complete versatile wardrobe, their aim is to provide you with 1% more time for you.

With this in mind, I created a new identity for One P Design. The new icon, used heavily across their marketing items, is closely associated to the percentage of time they aim to give back. To ensure the premium nature of the business was upheld, I used simple elements and strong colours paired with muted tones. Printed items also included spot UV finishing on the icon area.

The set of collateral created once the branding was defined, included stationery, powerpoint templates, html email signatures and an online presence.

Vehicle Mockups

challenge

Working with Zadro Agency, I was asked to help them create vehicle wrap ideas for a potential recycling campaign they were going to roll out.

I had to find a suitable style of vehicle that could travel easily with branding on the exterior with the ability to open up to reveal an information booth style area for the city to showcase their recycling campaign.

I designed several possible vehicles even throwing in an eco friendly small option too!
